• Favourite Wales away trip: LA, as I managed to turn it into a 3-week road trip. Georgia was the best of the more conventional short trips - from sleeping in dens with chanting nuns and nude baths to a steaming drunk taxi driver and severe food poisoning. 

• Favourite Wales away memory: Sitting next to Joe Allen on a flight back from Dublin. He was middle seat, I was window seat. He moved to the aisle seat when he realised no one had booked it, which was a shame for our budding friendship. 

• Favourite all time player: Seeing as we're very close (see above) it has to be Joe Allen.

• One essential Wales away item: Can(s).

• Favourite band: Keeping it Welsh - SFA, Manics, Gorky's, depending on the mood. 

• Band we should be listening to: Can't pick one! The Welsh/Welsh-language scene is fantastic at the moment. Take your pick from Los Blancos, Ani Glass, Adwaith, Mr, Ynys, El Goodo, She's Got Spies.

• One surprising fact about you: I feature alongside Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Owen as a previous winner of the top scorer award at the Ian Rush International Soccer Tournament (unverified).
